Our History

Fisher’s Homestyle Salads was established by Henry and Ann Fisher in 2003. Using their extensive knowledge from running a seafood and salad stand since 1990 at the Dutch Country Farmers Market in Flemington, New Jersey, Henry and Ann decided to get into the wholesale side of the business. Many of the recipes that are currently used were developed and perfected in their small kitchen at the Flemington Market. In June of 2003 they opened the doors to Fisher’s Homestyle Salads LLC, located in the Greenfield Industrial Park.

They operated the stand at Flemington as well as the wholesale kitchen in Greenfield for about three years. They sold the stand at Flemington to one of their employees and it is still owned and operated to this day by that employee. They started off in Greenfield with a light staff of 3 people which has since grown to a current staff of 25 part time and full time employees.
Having a desire to get back into the market scene, in April 2010 Henry purchased a stand at the Reading Fairground Market in Reading, PA. He still owns and operates that stand and you can find most of our products there. Check out the Market page on our website for more information about the stand as well as hours of the Market.

In January 2017, Kyle Martin, an employee at the time, joined the business as a partner. In March 2017 Ann stepped back from the business into part time retirement, and Kyle’s wife Kim took on the office responsibilities. Realizing that we were quickly outgrowing our facility we began looking into options for expansion or relocation. After looking at many different facilities and researching expansion at our current facility, we decided to renovate a blank warehouse space on Norman Road. We partnered with Scenic Ridge construction and began the process of designing our new kitchen space.

In a short six month time frame our new kitchen space was completed, and on Memorial Day weekend 2017 we moved to our current location, with more than 6,000 square feet of production and warehouse space. We feel like God has truly blessed us to be in this new location and to have the opportunity to serve all of our customer’s needs.

We are always looking for new business opportunities, so if you or your business has a need for a large quantity of great food please give us a call or email us. We would love to partner with you and it would be our pleasure to serve you.

God Bless,
Henry Fisher & Kyle Martin
